"INCLUSION, IDENTITY and DIGNITY"
Address to CHAS Conference by Bishop Donal McKeown

Bishop McKeown, Auxiliary Bishop of Down and Connor and former Headteacher, with 23 years experience in post 11+ education. In a wide ranging and well researched consideration of the issues wrapped up in an ambitious conference theme, Bishop McKeown was both challenging in his spelling out of the consequences and affirmative in his understanding of the particular social context in which Scottish Catholic schools seek to promote a distinctive vision that is too readily portrayed as sectarian.      “..we could espouse a vision of a more radical equality where it is possible to create structures that actively work against the tendency for most things to advantage the already advantaged.”  (A sample) (CHAS is the Catholic Headteachers Association of Scotland – Secondary)
